Choose a method. Then find the product.

    16 x 60 =   960   

    Use the halving-and-doubling strategy.
    Find half of 16: 16 ÷ 2 = 8.
    Multiply this number by 60: 8 x 60 = 480
    Double this result: 2 x 480 = 960
